Overview
Development support for key mechanical modules within a large-format industrial printing machine. The work covered concept development, detailed mechanical design, module integration and production-release engineering for selected assemblies within a complex industrial platform.
Engineering Challenge
The machine architecture required large, stiff and manufacturable mechanical modules to be developed within a wider industrial system. The design work had to balance concept intent, functional performance, structural requirements, assembly access, manufacturing constraints, serviceability and integration with neighbouring subsystems.
Engineering Scope
- Developed key mechanical modules from early concept stage through detailed CAD design.

Design for Manufacture and Integration
The work included translating concept-level machine architecture into practical mechanical assemblies suitable for manufacture, assembly and integration. This required attention to part architecture, tolerances, fastening strategy, assembly sequence, maintenance access and compatibility with the wider machine layout.
Production-Release Support
Design support extended into production-release activity for selected assemblies, helping to move mechanical modules from design intent into manufacturable and buildable engineering outputs. The work was carried out within the constraints of a larger product-development programme and required alignment with wider machine architecture and subsystem interfaces.
